5:00 pm, Wednesday, November 29th, 2000.**

The purpose of the preliminary round is to encourage teams to get
started  early in researching and developing their business idea.
The total prize pool for the preliminary round is $1000.

NOTE: Registration in the Preliminary round is not a prerequisite
to enter the E-Challenge. There will be a separate registration
process for the $75K part of the competition. (Deadline for entering
the $75K part of the competition is Wednesday, February 7, 2001.)
