1. RANTS FROM TED
Hey Everyone,
I went shopping with a friend the other day to purchase a vcr. We
went to an electronics store, let's call it Dry's. I frequently shop at
Dry's for convenience but not for customer service. There were a
few vcrs I liked but I could not find them in stock. After a few
minutes of fruitless searching, I decided to seek a Dry's employee
for assistance. Though there are a battalion of Dry's employees,
they never seem to be around when I need them. There were six
employees when I entered the vcr section. However, sensing that
a person needed assistance, they had scrambled from the vicinity.
After hunting for five minutes, I finally cornered a Dry's employee.
He nervously smiled while pushing a few buttons and wove his
hands about in an attempt to demo a few of the remaining vcrs.
At that moment my friend returned and before I had a chance to
ask for his vcr expertise, the clerk vanished. My friend swore I
was hallucinating when I told him that a Dry's employee was just
standing there. I left without a vcr and now I am faced with
another problem- I need a refrigerator. Stay tuned next
week for more adventures in a local electronics store.
Got a funny story? Send them to tedlee@stanford.edu
Happy Job Hunting!
